Durga Devi, like Mary Kom, did not have the best education or resources to launch a career. Nonetheless, she is the first woman from a small village in Jharkhand to win a European product award for her Saree, which she wore to represent India.

Durga defied the stereotype of village women being insecure and lacking big dreams by using her grit, determination, and creativity. She inspires her fellow artisans to excel in art by constantly training and unlearning insecurities.
